Lee joined SPICE Management Group in 2020, in the Client Maintenance department. Before joining us, she worked in property management as a building manager for different Strata corporations. In addition, she managed to gain valuable customer service experience through different industries, beginning with her military service, security, hospitality and much more. Through her educational background in International Relations and Hospitality, Lee developed a great interpersonal and communication skills.
She loves to travel and tries to make the best of every sunny day. In her spare time, she loves to cuddle with her Maltese dog, Bell and treat herself to a good coffee and a donut.
Randy has been working with SPICE for several years, and has a vast knowledge of Co-op building repairs and maintenance.
Tynan has worked for SPICE for over two years with previous experience in the industry. He enjoys being creative at work and appreciates a good challenge.
Vikram joined SPICE Management Group in 2019. He is our to-go guy for any office related requests, community support and IT (of course, he charges $1 per request) :-p. Vikram holds a Master’s degree in International Business Administration from Regents Business School, London. He has worked in countries like India, UK and Ghana and has vast experience in Business and Corporate.
Be it managing the office, organising events or making hilarious company videos, we can count on him to get the job done!
Derek just graduated from UBC with a Bachelor of Psychology/Economics in the Faculty of Arts. He is passionate about real estate and excited to be involved in sustainable housing. With his youthful experiences, he is able to bring refreshed ideas to the table.
On weekends, you may see him out at Cars and Coffee or Forest Service Roads.
Engert holds a Post Baccalaureate Diploma and a Master’s Degree from Capilano University, North Vancouver, BC. and is experienced in Customer Service and Management related issues. He has worked for seven years as a Tour Manager in Southern Europe and is fluent in Albanian, English, German and Italian language
He is passionate about outdoors activities on the weekends and playing the guitar.
A newcomer to SPICE, Raj joined the company in July 2020, not long but enjoying every minute. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and holds post degree diplomas in Accounting and Financial Planning from Douglas College. Prior to SPICE, she had experience in retail and sales. She is passionate about the financial world and is highly efficient, and detail oriented with her work, who believes in working hard and party harder.
Fun Fact: She is vibrant and enthusiastic, who loves to laugh, read and travel, just living the life she lives. Also, she is fond of collecting postcards
John has a deep passion for Non-Profit and Co-op housing with extensive, diverse and winning experiences in the sector. John has spent 25 years building successful social enterprise partnerships. Prior to that he spent 9 years in local ski resorts in Property Development and Management.
John has a Bachelors’ of Business Administration with a focus on Finance, Accounting, Law and Management. Prior to founding SPICE, John spent 12 years working with another Co-op management firm here in BC. Ten years ago John completed Community Economic Development with SFU and determined the sector needed management with a new vision and different outcomes. Soon after, SPICE Management Group Inc. was formed.
Adrienne Matte joined SPICE in 2019 after many years in Senior Operations rolls for large corporations. She loves being able to now work in the non-profit housing sector and enjoys the Community involvement of our Co-ops. One of Adrienne’s favourite activities at SPICE is getting to meet and develop relationships with Co-op Members and Boards.
As an artist, in her personal time, Adrienne enjoys finding creative solution or ideas to apply to situations at SPICE.
Darya joined SPICE Management Group in 2018, as the Admin and quickly climbed the corporate ladder from handling Subsidy and Applications to now, the COO. She has studied Political Science and is very meticulous in her work and expects the same from her team.
In her spare time, she loves cooking for herself and is now pursuing her Masters in riding a bicycle. She is also a clean FREAK (don’t forget your masks when you enter the office).
Michelle ‘Mitch’ Gillies is a dedicated and hardworking team-player specializing in administration. Graduating from an Administrative Assistance course in 2016, she brings technical skill, systems knowledge and a customer service element to her daily work. A hockey player since ’98, Mitch enjoys working with others toward any goal on or off the ice and sharing the celebration of all the small victories along the way.
Julie brings a wealth of project management, marketing, and corporate engagement experience to SPICE Management Group Inc. She acted as the Commercial Sales director with the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC for 13 years before she moved on to complete a certificate in Advanced Project Management. Julie’s passion for housing co-operatives and renovation projects is reflected in her passion for completing projects with the most positive and holistic results possible.
